Real-quality Mexican food in Taiwan! We ordered the taco bowl, nachos, corn soup and mixed berry soda. Everything was delicious! My guests were really impressed with the quality and taste of the tomatoes and the guacamole.

I would have wished, though, that the chips and salsa were offered complimentary upon sitting, as regular Mexican restaurants. I was pleased, though, that they did offer regular and spicy salsa.

Note that this restaurant does not take credit cards, so bring plenty of cash.

To get away from the dreary rain, I find myself having lunch at Pick and Eat Burrito Restaurant. Nothing I can dislike in terms of service. The friendly, young waiter greeted me and told me that I could sit wherever I would like to. He greeted other customers in a similar fashion and patiently explained the ordering process and ingredients.

Back in graduate school, I was spoilt by the authentic Mexican food available in Santa Barbara: Freebirds World Burrito, Chipotle and others. Being back in Taiwan for long, it's extremely difficult to find delicious Mexican food nearby. After years of waiting, I finally found it.

The burritos here are a more modest version of those in the States. More like a baby brother to Chipotle. Ingredients are fresh and could be customized. You have four meat selections. (1) carne asada, (2) carnitas, (3) pollo asada, and (4) beef and chile. Then you can select either a burrito or Mexican style rice.

I ordered the carnitas (stewed pork), which was filled with pork, rice, tomato salsa, Romaine lettuce, beans, corn, a bit of cheese and slices of onions. Fresh, healthy and lightly seasoned~ Yummers~ Super delicious.

For around 300NT, set B also comes with a drink/ soup, appetizer, a tiny cup of lemonade, and homemade yogurt. You have three choices for appetizers. (1) fries, (2) tortilla chips, and (3) tortilla in triangles with cheese fillings. The third choice comes with a sweet dipping- condensed milk.

Lastly, you have four- five dessert options, mostly variations of homemade yogurt. So far, I've tried the original, the one with lemon bits and with berries. All are delicious! Restaurants which are both healthy and yummy are hard to come by these days. I will be back for more.
