I wish I had more friends. Then, we could order a million things.

The options on the menu looked quite nice, but I was only eating with my boyfriend. So, I stuck to what seemed popular: the lion head meatballs 砂鍋獅子頭. I love this dish in general, and it did not disappoint. With glass noodles and cabbage hidden underneath, it was an all-around delightful dish.

With the other dish 桔汁牛小排 "veal cutlets in cumquat sauce", there was no citrus flavor of any sort. So...I don't know what happened there. Anyway, the texture was quite nice, and it was a good dish. I don't think it's a must (unlike the meatballs, yesssssss), but it's certainly good.

I thought things were salty, but I had just run 5K. So, my tastebuds might have been a little jacked up at the time.

You get a free small dessert! I got the sago pearls. They also have ice cream and possibly other things, but once I hear the things I like, I don't listen for anything else....

Online there are tons of beautiful pictures of food from this restaurant. It's such a shame that I only got to try these two dishes! Anyway, if you have a ton of friends who are willing to splurge a bit, I think it's a pretty nice place for that. It was ~400NT/person because of rice and 10% tip.

great location, near campus and near subway entrance
after your dinner you can head across the street for some tasty street side vender snacks (6pm-2am)

portions are not large but a single dish is enough for two
the restaurant is run like an upscale one but the furniture is that of a casual one thus you get excellent food and excellent service for decent price(~$10 per dish)
3 course meal (appetizer, your order, then dessert)
