The coffee shop is on the second and third floors of a residential building. The unique thing about the place is their utilization of the building's original design, the old school Taiwanese structure, coupled with western open elements. Second floor can be somewhat crammed and noisy (mainly from the mixer and kitchen noises).

Earl grey chiffon: not as airy as the average chiffon but full of that earl grey flavor thanks to the layers of seasoned cream. You can always save yourself a little $ by pairing it up with a beverage instead of doing two separate orders.

An excellent place to chill, that is if you can escape the constant photo snapping of other patrons. Not an ideal place if peace and quiet is what you're looking for.

I keep seeing that this place has two separate shops on the same street, but I could never find the other one. I always end up at the same one, lured by its tiny little sign by the door, leading to the 2nd floor where the café is at.

I haven't been to the other floors either despite having been here a couple times, oops.

Otherwise, this is the coffee culture in Taiwan at its best. Their espressos are good, robust and not too bitter. The atmosphere of the café is perfect for an afternoon tea. It is so relaxing that you would forget you're a block away from a major street, bustling with people and traffic.

They have pour over, espressos, and many kinds of tea. The price premium is high, even comparing to Starbucks, which is surprising as the living wages here probably can't afford that much. Another gripe I have is with its opening time. Local coffee shops seem to only open for afternoon tea - what happened to drinking coffee in the morning?!

      Relaxing afternoon
