Easily the greatest club in all of Japan. That is all you need to know. Go here. For more detail: see below. But I'm just going to talk about how great it is.

Ageha is the largest club in all of Tokyo. It is not conveniently located, but they do run shuttles to and from Shibuya apparently. We took the subway, and knew it was going to be a good night when the line at Family Mart to buy Strong Zeros was out the door.

The cover is a little bit higher than the other clubs, but 3,000 yen isn't bad when you consider that you're getting 4 dance floors, several bars, and like 20 DJs over the course of the night. Plus, drinks were pretty reasonable. My favorite thing about this club: designated outside smoking area. The next morning when I was wandering (stumbling) about the Tsukiji fish market (a couple subway stops away), I didn't smell like cigarettes. That makes all the difference in the world. They actually don't allow any drinks, food, or cigarettes on the main dance floor, which keeps it nice and clean.

It was also nice that it was just so massive, there were plenty of places to sit down and take a breather, without being stuck in a smoky corner.

Weirdest thing: Because one of the dance floors, bars, smoking area, and pool was outdoor, you could see the sunrise over the water. That was kind of cool. But also strange when you're trying to dance.

Chaos! All of my friends who have been there love this club a lot. Tons of various people, different kinds of music, ... One of the harder parts is how to get there and come back from down town Tokyo. If you want an extravaganza, you should go there;)

Price: Average. Up to how much you wanna drink:Q
Atmosphere: Chaos! Fun spot with fun mates;)

I haven't been to too many other clubs around Tokyo, but Ageha gets many big name artists, and I have seen Porter Robinson and m-flo here. The club is huge - can probably hold about 5,000 people, and there are multiple stages too, including one in a tent and one outdoors by a pool. It is a good idea to get tickets ahead of time, often sold at convenient stores. Had a really good time both events I went too!

However, Ageha is also very far from the main city center. To get there, one can catch a free shuttle bus from Shibuya. This means on the way back though, one would have to stay out all night until first trains, or leave pretty early to avoid exorbitant taxi fees. An alternative that I have exercised both times I have been here is to go to Oedo Onsen Monogatari also in Koto-ku, about 15 mins away by taxi, and stay the night at the onsen theme park. Best.idea.ever.

It is the Japan's biggest night club. There is 5 different floors and different genre of musics. Bunch of Japanese n all foreigners go this club and it is really crowded.
I heard regular fee is 4500 yen.

The drink is a bit expensive than other clubs but you definitely enjoy this place.

It's a very large club. Out of all the clubs I visited in Japan, this one felt similar to a mega clubbing experience you'd find in the states, with the exception that Ageha staff service is better organized. I went on a slower night, so they only had local talent playing. But from what my friends say, and from the poster boards everywhere, they do bring in a ridiculous amount of top talent. I think this is one of those clubs that experience is dictated on who is performing that night. But if you don't care, and just want to get out, have a drink and dance, this could be what you're looking for.

The decor wasn't bad, but nothing special either. Large main dance floor, a deck outside with a swimming pool, and another smaller building with a another dance floor. There is also seating next to the shoreline that was fenced off. Located in the back is a convenient little food park, which more clubs should incorporate!

Accessing the club wasn't difficult, as we used their shuttle bus from Shibuya.

We danced until the sun came out.   View from the shoreline.

This club is fuckin lit but they don't tell you that you need a ticket for the shuttle home. That means you gotta go all the way to the eki with all da gaijin when they literally advertise that you can take the freaking shuttle. Only Japanese are taking the shuttle because they know how but no one tells the foreigners how. Fck has this place.

Ageha is a bit far from the city city center but certainly accessible by train or their shuttle bus in Shibuya. Then it's a quick 5 minute walk from the train station and you can't miss the blasting music.

I went when Paul Van Dyk and Astrix were playing there and the place didn't get busy until 1am and I had gotten there around 12:30am. There are 300yen lockers right when you go into the club to put your bag or anything you don't want to carry or can carry in like food, drinks, camera. The main floor was amazing, lots of space, disco balls and one huge one hanging from the ceiling, while the DJ is on his platform in the front. The lights and mist were awesome effects, though it got pretty hot after awhile with so many people. The different areas of the club gave a place to breath from the main room and also had drink and food sales in between. The prices are decent at 700yen for a mixed drink and the amount of liquor in the mixed drinks is ample. The pool on the third floor was tiny and not as cool as I though it would be. That night there was free body paint and the two painters did an amazing job! I got a parrot and flowers.

They have security at all the different room to make sure party goers weren't smoking or brining drinks into no smoke or no drink zones (helps prevent unnecessary spillage onto other personnel and keeps the club clean/safe).

There are seats and tables littered throughout the establishment but difficult to obtain once the party starts so don't bank on sitting at all. The bathroom lines are pretty tame though also a wait.

      Gaijin level: 1/3

This place is amazing! If you are ever in Tokyo and want to do it up RIGHT, hit up AgeHa and plan ahead. Grab a room at a nearby hotel, pre-drink and get ready, plan to get there kinda late because this party doesn't really get started until after midnight, and skip the stilettos if you want to actually enjoy yourself. There are shuttles, but we just cabbed it over and back, which is exactly why we got a hotel so close.

The music varies from stage/dance floor to floor. There is a small pool, but it is more for decorative purposes than anything else... oh and people jokingly try to push one another in on the regular. I would imagine some of them actually splash down, but I wasn't fortunate enough to witness that.

My favorite thing about this club was the silk dancers/walkers. They didn't even come on until like 4am and they were spectacular!! It was amazing to see them do their thing and so surreal to be standing/dancing right under them. Oh, and the food trucks are also pretty decent and definitely serve their purpose at that time of the night when no more moscow mules are going in unless some food gets to join the party first.

Walked out into the morning just as the sun was making its appearance. What a night!

TL;DR: The biggest, most crowded nightclub in Japan, possibly the fucking world. Don't consider yourself a nightclub afficiando until you've set foot in here, the place is b-a-n-a-n-a-s.

Clubbing in Tokyo is not a goddamn joke. You have to have a squad that is committed, a little crazy and absolutely 100% ready to party. If you're the type that let's the phone ring more than once when people call you to go out, stay home.

Think I'm joking, padawan? Let me tell you how serious this is: Have you ever decided to go to a club and make the spiritual commitment to stay until way into the next morning because YOU CAN'T FUCKING LEAVE? That's what we're talking about, broski. In Tokyo, the trains stop running at 1am. What time do clubs usually start to get good? *1AM*. And don't think you're going to walk your way back to the hotel, Kemosabe. Ageha is positioned WAY outside of the city proper and you ain't going nowhere until *at least* 6AM. But if you've ever tried to get on a rush hour train (as a foreigner) in Tokyo, you know damn well, you're planted wherever you're at until rush hour is over.

That said, Ageha is a club experience that turns the volume down on a lot of other joints around the world I've been to. This is the first place I started playing my well-known game I like to call "Drunk, High or Just Crazy?". You'd be playing it too if you saw they kind of cats packed nuts to cheeks in this place. Every flavor of shit was going on, I saw guys dressed up like furries, some cats in suits and your standard EDM faries of all manner of genders. People literally hanging from the ceilings, a pool, male and female strippers, there was even a couple of dudes dressed up like The Village People. I gotta hand it to our Japanese brothers and sisters, they don't half ass anything. The drinks were strong and the people were good looking and fun (even though my Japanese is a straight gringo) and I'd highly recommend it if you've got more money than sense and a day to burn in the rising sun.
